Zenit St Petersburg unveil new 2010 home kit

Russian club Zenit St Petersburg have revealed their new official home kit that they will wear throughout the 2010 season.

In recent years, the club have moved to the forefront of Russian football with some impressive achievements. Their first Russian Premier League triumph in 2007 was followed up by victory in the 2008 UEFA Cup and UEFA Super Cup. Unfortunately, they couldn’t follow up with league success in 2008 as they only managed 5th place. This was improved upon in 2009 with a 3rd place finish. The 2009/10 Europa League was disappointing for the team as they lost in the first round to unfancied Portuguese side Nacional. They will hope to refind their form in 2010.

The new Zenit St Petersburg 2010 home kit contains a predominately white shirt with a blue trim on the sleeve edges and a blue polo neck collar. Manufacturers Nike place their blue “tick” logo in the top right of the shirt whilst the club badge is positioned in the top left. The sponsors also place a large blue typeface logo across the centre of the shirt. The kit is completed with white shorts and blue and white socks.
