Umbro reveal new Manchester City third kit 09/10

Premier League big spenders Manchester City has revealed their new third kit that they will wear on several occasions throughout the 2009/10 Premiership season.

David Blanch, Manchester City third kit designer, said: “The third kit is something I believe is very special. It’s a modern interpretation of City’s sash design. When I look at the final product, I’m really pleased because it makes such a statement. It stands out from the crowd – globally as well as domestically – in a way we haven’t seen for years.”

The new Manchester City third kit contains a predominately white shirt with a black and red combined diagonal sash leading from the top right to the bottom left. Manufacturers Umbro place their yellow and black logo in the top right of the shirt inside the sash pattern. The club badge is situated in the top left whilst sponsors “Etihad Airways” place their much smaller logo just below the club badge in an odd position for a sponsor. The overall effect of the shirt is to keep it looking clean yet classy at the same time.
