Sheffield Wednesday reveal new away kit 2010

Championship club Sheffield Wednesday has revealed the new away kit that was chosen by the team’s supporters in a public vote.

Kit option 3 obtained the most support with 46% of the vote whilst the other two options receive a similar lesser proportion of votes. This way of choosing a new away kit has been popular with several football league clubs in recent seasons as it gives supporters the opportunity to voice their opinions whilst showing that the club is listening to their fanbase.

Kit option 3 contains a predominately black shirt with thin yellow vertical pinstripes running throughout the body. Yellow patches are located down the sides and around the underarm of the sleeve and the collar is a black V neck. Manufacturers Puma place their white logo in the top right of the shirt whilst the club badge is situated in the top left. Sponsors “The Children’s Hospital” place their white and blue bear logo inside a yellow circle across the middle of the shirt. It has also been revealed that the shorts for the new design will be black.
