Nigeria unveil new 2010 World Cup kit

African nation Nigeria has revealed their new 2010 World Cup kit that they will be wearing throughout the tournament to be hosted in South Africa next June.

Out of all the teams to qualify for the 2010 World Cup to date, Nigeria must have had the most dramatic qualificaion. The team were locked in battle with Tunisia for the single group qualification spot for the entire campaign. However, the final set of matches saw Tunisia just needing a win to qualify. However, they were beaten 1-0 away to Mozambique. This left Nigeria just needing to beat rock bottom Kenya away to qualify. Nevertheless, Kenya pushed their rivals all the way before the Nigerians scraped past them with a 3-2 victory. Considering all of these events were happening simultaneously, it made for a dramatic afternoon of football!

The new Nigeria 2010 World Cup kit contains a predominately green shirt with a sewn white pattern down the sides being the only extra details excluding the usual logos. Manufacturers Adidas place their white logo centrally below the green round neck collar whilst the traditional three white stripes run down the shoulders. The club badge is situated in the top left of the shirt.
