Cork City get their Eircom League challenge underway with a new home kit. Unfortunately, this is one of the most revolting kits I have seen for a long time. The predominately green colour isn't too bad but the design is awful. For some reason manufacturers Hummel decided to add white to anywhere that wasn't necessary. The single white sleeve looks ridiculous next to the masses of green and why there is an extra sponsor on the sleeve I don't know. The white at the bottom of the shirt doesn't go with the rest of the shirt leaving the shirt in quite a bit of a mess. 0 out of 10.
Cork City also begin the 08/09 season with a new away shirt. Unfortunately Hummel have kept with the same ridiculous design used in the home shirt. The better news for Cork fans are that the colours go better here making this more of a respectable kit. The predominately black colour goes nicely with the red areas on the shirt. Thankfully, both sleeves on this shirt are the same colour which keeps the shirt in sync and the white strip on the right hand side makes a nice addition. Overall, ten times better than the home kit and if I was a Cork fan I would definitely buy this shirt.
