Home Kit
Borussia Dortmund kick off the start of the 2008/09 with a brand new home shirt. Manufacturer's Nike have gone with a predominately gold shirt with thin black vertical lines all the way across. The only slight problem I have with this shirt is that the sponsor is purple which looks a little bit out of place. Overall though, I much prefer this kit to the yellow and black (wasp) kit of last season.
Away Borussia Dortmund Kit
Borussia Dortmund also start the 08/09 season with a new away kit. I wasn't a big fan of last year's away shirt which looked a bit of a mess with the maroon, yellow and black all mixed in together. I'm not sure whether or not I like the new one either. Nike have gone with a complete black shirt with a single gold diagonal strip running right to left which manages to include the Nike tick and the purple sponsor. Once again the purple sponsor looks a bit out of place to me. The jury's still out on this shirt for me. I can't make up my mind whether I like it or not.
Third
Borussia Dortmund will also be introducing a 3rd kit for the upcoming season. The shirt is a nice shade of red and finally contains their sponsor in white (not purple) along with a white Nike tick. A white V neck collar is also included which adds real class to the shirt. Overall, a very good 3rd kit and much better than the odd looking away strip.
