Blackburn Rovers will start the 2008/09 season with a new sponsored shirt. Although Crown Paints have taken over from Bet 24 the shirt is fairly similar to the last. The colour scheme is still identical with the blue and white areas still intact and only the red patterns near the V neck have made way. Overall, this is a very simple shirt but sometimes not overdoing it is the best way forward and this looks a very stylish modern football shirt.
Blackburn will start the new 2008/09 campaign with a brand new away shirt, which replaces last season's popular strip (which is now the third). The new away shirt is predominately dark blue with a light blue and white vertical stripe running through the middle but leaving a gap for the sponsor. The collar and sleeve edges are also light blue to make this a very attractive shirt. Overall, one of the best new away shirts I've seen and good to see the manufacturer sticking to the traditional club colours.
Blackburn Rovers have a new 3rd shirt for the 2008/09 season and it happens to be the very popular red and black combination that was used as the away shirt last season. The torso is cut in two halves with red in one and black in the other whilst one sleeve is red and the other black. This is definitely a very unorthodox shirt for Blackburn but the fans seem to have taken to it making this very likely to be a popular third kit
