The brand new Arsenal home shirt for the 2008/2009 season has a very similar look to the previous one. The torso colour and layout is identical to last season's home shirt with only the collar changing from a round neck to a V neck. The main change occurs on the arms with last season's plain white sleeves gone in place of more red and a maroon stripe down each side. This gives the shirt a bit of extra class where as the old shirt, although it did nothing wrong, looked a touch plain. However, whether or not the slight change is worth your money or not is for you to decide.
The new Arsenal away shirt for the 2008/2009 season is a total change from last season's white and maroon shirt. Neither of these colours makes an appearance in the latest shirt which is a yellowish gold with a similar look to the gold away shirt sponsored by Sega that was worn a few years back. The sleeves are navy blue with a single red stripe running through them to give this shirt a modern look. Once again the shirt seems a good update from what seemed a simple design last season.
The Arsenal 3rd kit for the forthcoming season is basically a carbon copy of last season's away kit. On first sight I can't actually see any difference. It maintains the previous kits white base with maroon typeface and a gold hint around the edges. The new kit celebrates the innovations of Arsenals legendary manager, Herbert Chapman who introduced white sleeves to help identify teammates. Overall, a fairly plain third kit but much better than the horrible horizontal maroon and navy blue stripes which made up last season's 3rd kit.
