AC Milan begin their Serie A campaign with a new home shirt for 2008/09. Personally, I prefer this shirt to the previous one. Although they are both very similar, the slighter altered design on the new shirt makes it look more stylish than its predecessor. For instance, the sponsor on the new shirt blends in a lot better than the 2007 shirt which had the sponsor in a grey box. I much prefer the sleeves on the new shirt being predominately black with thin Adidas stripes rather than the old shirt where the stripes from the torso carried across to the sleeves. Overall, this is a much sharper shirt than before and one of my favourites so far.
The new AC Milan white away shirt is almost identical to the 2007/2008 one. Unfortunately there is not much point in buying this one if you have the previous shirt as very few features have changed. The only major differences are that the stripes on the shoulder now only go down half way and the collar has become a round neck rather than a polo shirt style. Apart from that there is not much more to say. It's a nice shirt but there seems no point in paying £40 for smaller stripes and a different collar.
AC Milan's new black 3rd kit for the season, like the away shirt, has not really had much done to it. The only noticeable difference is that a red pattern on either shoulder has been removed leaving 2 red Adidas stripes to run half way down the line. Apart from that it is exactly the same shirt. Personally, I don't rate this shirt as much as the home and away shirt. It has much more of a training top look but fortunately they won't have to wear it too often.
